Emmerdale exit ‘sealed’ for icon after 25 years as fans spot worrying ‘clue’
Emmerdale viewers are fearing for one villager as the aftermath of the limo crash unfolds
Emmerdale fans have been left concerned for Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) following the tragic limo crash.
As fans of the ITV soap will know, Charity was driving the vehicle when she was forced to swerve off the road to avoid hitting her son Noah Dingle (Jack Downham).
The limo then ploughed into a frozen lake leaving one person instantly d.e.a.d and others fighting for their lives. Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) was the first casualty having d.i.e.d on impact.
Fearing for Noah, Charity was the first to exit the vehicle and make her way across the ice to safety. She found Noah unconscious and tried desperately to call for help on her mobile phone.
Adding to the turmoil, Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) was seen desperately striving to escape the clutches of the ice-cold water after being ensnared underneath. In an eerie twist, she wasn’t alone under the ice – there lurked a lifeless body.
However, a tense moment saw Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) break through the ice in a heroic rescue mission, pulling Amy out and dragging her to safety
The horror didn’t end there, during Wednesday’s episode (February 19), available on ITVX, the show dealt another blow as Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) was tragically declared d.e.a.d upon reaching the hospital.
Charity looked on as Noah was unconscious in the hospital bed before later showing her devastation over the tragic incident.
Emmerdale fans are now left fearing for Charity as she recently suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after accidentally k.i.l.l.i.n.g Damon “Harry” Harris (Robert Beck) on Christmas Day 2023.
In a bid to save Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) life, Charity wrestled Damon for his gun, and ended up shooting him in the process.
After the incident, Charity was seriously shaken up and experiencing symptoms of PTSD, including flashbacks and anxiety attacks. Will the limo crash send Charity over the edge?
Taking to Reddit, one Emmerdale fan wrote: “I wish Charity hadn’t been driving. We’ve only just finished her PTSD arc after k.i.l.l.i.n.g Chloe’s dad – this is surely going to trigger that again now two people are d.e.a.d.
“I don’t want to see Charity hated by half the village for something that genuinely was an accident. Hopefully with Noah clearly being unwell, people will sympathise.”
A second agreed: “Yeah I thought she’s going to have that again. She explained why they crashed, so I don’t think she will be blamed but who knows.”
A third chimed in: “I’m hopeful that they’ll not go too far down the line of everybody blaming Charity and Noah – we’ve had so many ‘Charity hits rock bottom mmm’ storylines and think everybody is fed up of watching her being put through the wringer.”
“Charity might be screwed. When she called the ambulance she said “I crashed”, this could be taken as an admission of responsibility”, added another.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
