ITV Emmerdale fans rumble Ella’s link to village – and she wants ‘revenge’ on Chas

Emmerdale fans are convinced they've worked out who Ella Forster is connected to in the village as they rumble her plan to get 'revenge' on Chas Dingle

Emmerdale's Ella and Chas

Emmerdale fans have worked out who Ella Forster is connected to in the village – and why she wants ‘revenge’ on Chas Dingle.

Ella – played by Coronation Street star Paula Lane – arrived in the village a few months back and has seemingly been getting along with everyone. She has only briefly caused a bit of a stir with Chas Dingle, but only because she wants to be with Dr Liam Cavanagh and Chas also has a soft spot for the resident GP of the Dales.

Actress Paula Lane has teased Ella is hiding a secret and already has a connection to the village. In a recent interview, she shared: ” Ella does have a past that is going to be revealed. She does have responsibilities elsewhere outside the village that mean a great deal to her and I’m so looking forward to exploring this further.

“When something or someone so important to her is put at risk she will fight so hard to protect that situation. This is a part of her we’ve yet to see and there is currently a lot at stake and a lot to fight for.”

However, we are yet to know who she’s connected to and what her future holds in the village. Some fans are convinced she is going to be connected to businessman Al Chapman, who died in huge scenes over a year ago when he was killed by Cain’s son Kyle. Before the shock death, Al was having an affair with Chas behind both Kerry and Paddy’s back.

With Kerry now back, fans are convinced Ella is connected to Al – either an ex or his sibling – and she wants revenge on Chas for what she did with Al, which only worsened the feud between Cain and Al and could be arguably partly to blame for his death.

At the time, Chas actress Lucy Pargeter admitted she wasn’t a fan of the affair storyline herself.

“You have to [believe it.] Over the years, the amount of stories that have been pitched and given to you that are a massive gift to have, but not all the time do you believe it. Not all the time can you justify it as yourself. You have to put yourself in the character’s position and go okay it’s being pitched to me, this is what I’ve gotta do, I have to try to believe it,” she told The Mirror

“I don’t have to necessarily like it personally, but as an actress or actor you have to find truth in it and just trust what your character has been given. And if the director or the producer or the writer is putting it your way, you have to suck up your own feelings about things sometimes, and just go well if that is what my character is doing I have to throw myself into it and believe it.”
