Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ how Caleb Miligan ‘d.i.e.s’ in DNA twist
Emmerdale fans think they have worked out why Caleb ends up on a ventilator

Emmerdale fans are convinced they have worked out why Caleb Miligan ends up on a ventilator in the hospital, and it’s all about Joe Tate.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, Caleb (William Ash) was shown unconscious in a hospital bed hooked up to machines during a tense flashforward. The mystery surrounding Caleb’s health has now left viewers pointing the finger at Joe (Ned Porteous).
Caleb is the son of Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) meaning he is also the half-brother of Chris Tate, Zoe Tate, Jamie Tate and Liam Hammond. As Joe is the son of Chris, this also makes him Caleb’s half-nephew.
Meanwhile, last week, Joe was confirmed to have spiked his half-brother Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) following the tragic limo crash. Viewers previously saw Noah’s mum, Charity (Emma Atkins), swerve and crash the girls’ limo into a frozen lake in order to avoid hitting her son, who was wandering aimlessly in the road.
As the rest of the women struggled to escape the icy water, Charity was able to get free and get to her son who lay unconscious on the floor, before seeing him off to hospital.
When Noah re-gained consciousness, the doctor confirmed that he had been spiked. A hazy flashback saw Noah in a hospital bed, in what appears to be a private hospital with a doctor and Joe present.
Joe and the doctor were conversing, with the doctor preparing a syringe to inject into Noah. The flashback is through Noah’s eyes and as a result is blurry and hard to decipher.
Joe has also been hiding a secret medical condition sparking rumours that he needs some medical transplant and is targeting Noah for help. However, some viewers predict that Joe will target Caleb to see if the two men are genetically a match.
Taking to social media, one person wrote: “With everything pointing to Joe having had some medical procedure done on a drugged up Noah to find out if he is compatible as an organ donor and us also seeing a flat lining Caleb in the flashforward, could Caleb be the one that Joe gets whatever it is he is needs, from?”
A second added: “He is Joe’s uncle after all and could be a genetic match.”
A third chimed in: “Caleb’s flash forward, Joe Tate probably needs an organ to steal, if it is a heart he needs, I think he takes it from Caleb, also in the flash forward with Caleb on an unusual “hospital” bed, the heart monitor has question marks instead of a “O” #emmerdale.”
“‘I’m guessing Joe needs a transplant of sorts (Bone marrow?), and they’re testing Noah on the sly? OR DNA to prove Noah isn’t a Tate after all? #Emmerdale”, added another.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
