Emmerdale has confirmed that April Windsor’s friend Dylan is making a dramatic return to the show next week.
Young actor Fred Kettle, who was highly praised for his role in April’s special episode this month, is coming back as Dylan for the next chapter in the storyline.
April turns to Dylan for support again as she struggles to adjust to her life back in the village.
In upcoming scenes, Marlon Dingle remains determined to keep a close eye on April. This annoys her, as she can tell that her father still doesn’t trust her to stick around.
When it all becomes too much, April heads to a derelict squat for an emotional reunion with Dylan.
Marlon follows April and jumps to conclusions about what’s going on. Dylan bears the brunt of this, as Marlon shoves him up against a wall.
The tense situation leaves April in despair, as she’s left more convinced than ever that Marlon simply doesn’t understand what she went through on the streets.
Marlon sees Dylan in a better light when the young lad takes the mature approach, encouraging April to go back home with Marlon.
The next day, Marlon can’t believe his eyes when he sees that Dylan has followed him and April back to the village.
April explains that she invited Dylan, as she believes that he could make a life for himself in a close-knit community like Emmerdale.
Marlon is full of doubt, but he agrees to speak to his wife Rhona about the possibility of Dylan staying for one night. How will Rhona respond?
