Beyond Paradise shares big season 3 update
Beyond Paradise season three has received an exciting update.
The BBC has confirmed that filming on the Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise spin-off’s upcoming third season has officially started, following the show’s renewal in April.
The new batch of episodes promises to keep the Shipton Abbott team, led by DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall), on their toes with plenty of intriguing new cases, including a body that’s found in the river, a “baffling” chocolate box poisoning, a “historic farming feud” and a “spiking incident” on the water.
The official synopsis for Beyond Paradise season three continues: “Away from the police station, Martha and Humphrey must overcome unexpected hurdles as foster parents, while the reappearance of Martha’s old flame Archie presents an unexpected challenge.
“While Esther navigates a surprise encounter in her private life, a health scare for Anne stirs up painful memories, and Kelby embarks on a journey of personal growth.”
Sally Bretton is set to reprise her role as Martha Lloyd, alongside fellow returning cast members including Zahra Ahmadi as DS Esther Williams, Dylan Llewellyn as PC Kelby Hartford and Barbara Flynn as Anne Lloyd.
Jamie Bamber also returns as Archie Hughes, a character who was last seen in the show’s first season.

“We are delighted to be back in the beautiful South West, filming what promises to be our strongest series yet, packed full of mysteries, surprises, challenges and lots of heart,” Tim Key, executive producer at Red Planet Pictures, said of the crime drama’s return.
“We love making the show and the audience response to it is fantastic, and it’’s especially exciting to welcome back Jamie Bamber to Shipton Abbott – we can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been up to.”
Beyond Paradise and Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise both air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
