Emmerdale downfall ‘sealed’ for Tom King as Cain Dingle closes in on character

Emmerdale's Belle Dingle was left terrified after her husband told her robbers had broken into their home and stolen her wedding and engagement rings - however, viewers know he was the person behind the incident.

Emmerdale’s Tom King (played by James Chase) trashed his home after he discovered Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor Draper) had chosen to go for a drink with a friend after work on Thursday. However, he lied to her and blamed it on robbers.

During the latest instalment of the serial drama, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) approached Tom in the Woolpack about his and Belle’s place being “robbed” the previous day as he felt the latter wasn’t being truthful.

However, Tom told Cain: “Actually, would you mind if we just leave it? Belle and I have been talking and we think it is best if we let the police deal with the break-in.”

Cain insisted the police would not be able to do anything and could not comprehend why Tom didn’t want his help.

Tom replied: “I’m just worried about what it would do to Belle.” But Cain stated: “She’ll thank us both.”

“I don’t think she will,” the vet insisted, adding: “She’s really shaken up right now so let’s not go all vigilante as we both know there is no guarantee of getting the rings back.

“We’d be prolonging her agony and she’s in a really vulnerable place right now, you must know that.”

Cain wasn’t buying what Tom was saying and seemed very suspicious of the character. Will Cain start investigating Tom and his relationship with Belle to see if he is responsible for the robbery?

How will Cain react if he discovers just how coercive and manipulating Tom is over his relative, Belle?
