EastEnders: ‘work out’ who Tommy’s messaging online as ‘return sealed’
EastEnders fans think they may have figured out who Tommy Moon could be messaging on the BBC soap, after recent return rumours about a character linked to him
Some EastEnders fans are speculating a return is on the way, after a new storyline involving Tommy Moon.
Viewers are speculating over the identity of the mystery online friend he’s been speaking to ahead of concern from his mother Kat Slater. Scenes on Monday night saw him confiding in Alfie Moon about his pal, eager to speak with him and also sharing plans for a support group for people in need.
Alfie and Kat were proud of their son, but upcoming scenes will spark concern when Tommy continues to speak to the mystery person and is upset when the contact is thwarted. New spoilers for next week have also confirmed Kat is desperate to get to the bottom of the online ‘friend’.
We will find out the truth next week, as Tommy’s ‘friend’ is confirmed in new scenes and Kat is said to be trying to get to grips with it. Other residents soon find out and taunt Tommy, so what is he hiding?
Amid a theory that Tommy is up to no good and some concern he could be being manipulated, a new theory suggests it could be a familiar face. It wouldn’t be the first time a character has returned after speaking with Tommy online.

A few years back his half-sister Scarlett rejoined the show with her mother Janine Butcher. It was revealed she had been in contact with her sibling online.
So now fans are wondering if this will happen again with another relative after weeks of return rumours. One new theory is that Tommy is secretly in contact with his older sister Zoe Slater, who was tipped for a return recently.
Zoe and Kat have not always had the best relationship and they’ve been apart for a long time. So is Zoe messaging her younger brother, and could it pave the way for a return?
One fan speculated: “Please let this be Zoe,” as another said: “I’d love it to be Zoe.” A third added: “It would be funny if it’s Zoe, that’s how he met Scarlet last time and that’s how he meets his long lost sisters through the internet.”
But other theories suggest Tommy is in danger, and could be being groomed online. A theory read: “No not Zoe I reckon someone creepy. I was wondering about creepy what’s his face who was stalking Stacey but he must be locked up, I can’t even remember now. Could be someone they know or maybe just a random creep trying to groom Tommy for whatever reason.”
