Beyond Paradise releases first-look pictures for series 3
With famous faces are joining as guest stars, too
It’s one of our favourite crime dramas on TV, so we can’t wait for the new series of BBC’s Beyond Paradise. And we’re looking forward to it even more now we’ve had a sneak peek at shots from the new series.
The series will see a return to the beautiful Cornish seaside town of Shipton Abbott, where the team led by DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) will handle another batch of challenging cases. This series, they will puzzle over mysteries including a chocolate box poisoning, a long-standing farming feud and a spiking incident at sea.
Main characters Martha and Humphrey, played by Sally Bretton and Kris Marshall, have obstacles to overcome in their personal life, too, as they adjust to being new foster parents to a little girl, Rosie.
Their fostering journey isn’t made any easier by the reappearance of Martha’s old flame, Archie Hughes, which stirs up some more challenges for the couple.
Jamie Bamber is set to reprise his role as Archie, who was last seen in the show’s first season.
Meanwhile, fellow police officer Esther experiences a surprising twist in her personal life, Martha’s mother Anne confronts painful memories following a health scare, and junio police officer Kelby embarks on a transformative journey of self-discovery.
The series will also see an all-star line-up of guest stars, including Hugh Dennis and Caroline Quentin – keep your eyes peeled for them in the new episodes.
Although we don’t have a release date for the new series of Beyond Paradise yet, we know that filming started last summer, so we can expect the new episodes later this year.
We can’t wait to return to Shipton Abbott with DI Goodman and the team!
