EastEnders fans believe they’ve figured out who Tommy Moon’s secret online friend is and it’s safe to say Kat Slater won’t be pleased.
After months in care, troubled teen Tommy has returned home, but his mum Kat is finding it hard to adjust.
Last year, Tommy was at the heart of a distressing storyline where he was violent towards Kat and his siblings.
Despite her heartbreak, Kat kept quiet about her son’s abusive behaviour, causing Jean Slater to worry for the safety of Tommy’s younger twin brothers.
Jean took matters into her own hands and secretly contacted social services, leading to Kat feeling betrayed by her family. Now, Tommy seems to have turned over a new leaf and has made a new friend online.

In Monday’s episode, Big Mo left Tommy alone with his brothers, giving him a chance to apologise for his past actions. However, when Kat came home and found her sons alone, she was horrified, causing Tommy to feel even more isolated.
Later, Tommy opened up about his past mistakes, leaving Kat and Alfie feeling proud rather than scared of their son, reports Plymouth Live.
EastEnders fans were gobsmacked this week as they pieced together a dark theory involving Kat’s son Tommy and his mysterious online pal Matt. It all kicked off after Kat (Jessie Wallace) said sorry to her boy before gifting him with a brand spanking new games console.
As Tommy got chatting to his virtual mate, twist-addicted viewers started putting two and two together, betting that Matt is none other than Kat’s long-lost son from the spin-off—Kat and Alfie: Redwater.
