Following the incident, Ruby, Caleb (William Ash), John (Oliver Farnworth), Cain (Jeff Hordley), Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Aaron (Danny Miller) decided to keep the truth under wraps, not only for their own sake but also for Steph, who is still oblivious to the fact that her grandad is actually her father, reports Leeds Live.
Steph’s persistent questioning about Anthony’s fate has been causing Caleb and Ruby considerable stress.
They find themselves continually lying and attempting to reassure Steph that her grandad is alright and simply doesn’t wish to be contacted.
In a dramatic twist on Emmerdale, Steph stunned Caleb and Aaron at The Woolpack by claiming she had word from Anthony, leaving the duo reeling.
Caleb tried to keep cool, telling her it was great Anthony was in touch, spawning suspicion in Aaron who questioned Steph’s motives.
In a bid to detour Steph from uncovering the truth, Caleb sought Ross Barton’s (Michael Parr) aid. Yet as the episode drew to a close, a ghastly discovery was made by Steph: a gun hidden inside the house safe at Mill Cottage.
Emmerdale fans have been left on the edge of their seats, speculating that Steph will accidentally shoot her dad.
