Basse-Terre and Grande-Terre form the butterfly shape of Guadeloupe both with long beaches and sugarcane fields. Basse-Terre is the main location used for filming the series with familiar sets dotted across the island.

The lively fishing village of Deshaies on Basse-Terre is used as the show’s fictional seaside setting, St. Honoré. A local restaurant also doubles as the frequently used Catherine’s Bar, used by characters throughout the series.

Fans of the show can visit the island to stand in the places their favourite characters also stood, with Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise tours available. Catherine’s Bar is open to the public to explore as well the Honoré Police station which is filmed at the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Deshaies.
