EastEnders Shireen’s true fate ‘confirmed’ after clue – and she’s not d.e.a.d

There was a m.u.r.d.e.r bombshell on EastEnders on Monday, and some fans think a major twist could follow.

Despite a d.e.a.t.h being confirmed on the BBC soap as one character confessed to having someone m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d, fans think there’s more to the twist. Now, Nicola Mitchell’s confession to causing the d.e.a.t.h of missing Shireen has sparked predictions that a big arrival is on the way.

On Monday night we saw her devastated brother Asad head to Walford to confront Teddy Mitchell, accusing him of killing Shireen. Shireen was dating Teddy’s son Harry Mitchell at the time she vanished four years ago.

After years of Harry facing accusations, Asad claimed he knew his old pal Harry was innocent but someone else was put under the spotlight. Things turned violent as Asad confirmed he’d done some digging and now had possible evidence that Teddy was to blame.

What he had no idea about though was that he was actually accusing the wrong person, and Shireen’s real killer, if she is d.e.a.d, was stood right there. At the end of the episode Nicola met with a mystery man called Benji.

She soon claimed that years earlier she made Benji do a job for her that was now under threat. It soon became very clear that said job was the m.u.r.d.e.r of missing Shireen.

Nicola said that no one could ever find out that she “killed that girl”. So Nicola ordered a hit on Shireen it seems with Benji carrying out the sickening crime, before hiding her body at a disused industrial estate.

Confirming the location of her body, he told Nicola where she could be found with Nicola hoping no one would ever “dig her up”. But viewers think there could be a big twist on the way and that Benji did not really kill Shireen.

Viewers now suspect Shireen is alive and in hiding and that one day soon, she will head to Walford to expose Nicola’s crime. Taking to social media, fans predicted there was more to come after Nicola tried to pin the crime on Teddy without him knowing.

One fan posted: “Harry’s missing girlfriend is obviously going to show up soon.” A second fan agreed: “Probably with a Mini Harry in tow.”

A third viewer also believed this, and agreed: “It’s so obvious lol.” A further theory read: “Yeah, you don’t drop a full name three times in an episode like that otherwise.”

Viewers will have to stay tuned to see what happens next and if Shireen really is d.e.a.d, which seems to have been confirmed by the BBC soap. Nicola might need to cover her tracks given she’s hinted to Sharon Watts and Zack Hudson that Teddy killed Shireen, so surely it’s only a matter of time before he finds out and confronts her.
