Emmerdale fans slam ‘hypocrite’ character who has ‘forgot’ his own sins

Emmerdale fans were feeling puzzled watching a recent episode of the ITV soap, as Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) got on his high horse while seemingly forgetting his past actions.

Last week, Ruby (Beth Cordingly) attempted to help Caleb (William Ash) with getting back in Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) good book.

Things have been difficult between Caleb and the Dingles ever since his affair with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) was revealed.

Ruby’s plan sadly backfired, but she then took the opportunity to call out the hypocritical Dingle clan, reminding them all of their past mistakes and how they were forgiven for them. Fed up of Cain’s refusal to move on, Caleb took matters into his own hands, disowning the brother he longed so hard for, which came as quite the shock to Cain.

The dynamic between the brothers changed again when Caleb collapsed in the village after severe stomach pains.

When Cain got wind of his brother’s hospitalisation, he swiftly raced to visit him.

The visit left Caleb surprised and, despite Cain’s attempts to cover, it was clear that he was starting to warm towards him, with the ice thawing between the two.

Back at Butlers, Nate expressed his thoughts to Moira (Natalie J Robb). He said how happy he is that Cain is on his side and that there’s no way he could ever forgive his dad if he forged a relationship with Caleb after the affair with Tracy.

This sparked many Emmerdale fans to call Nate a hypocrite. When he first arrived in the village, he had an affair with Moira in an attempt to get revenge on Cain, who had no idea Nate was his son at the time.

Taking to social media platform X, one audience member said: ‘Nate is the biggest hypocrite going #Emmerdale’, while another echoed the thoughts and wrote: ‘Nate is such a hypocrite, Cain forgave him for sleeping with his wife.’

This isn’t the first time a resident of the Dales forgot their past behaviour.

Last month, Kerry (Laura Norton) told Amelia (Daisy Campbell) to watch herself around the Dingles, noting the crash with Charity (Emma Atkins), Mack (Lawrence Robb) and Chloe (Jessie Elland), and how Charity killed Damon Harris last December.

Whilst she held a grudge over the festive killing, we couldn’t help but think of the time Kerry and Amy (Natalie Ann Jameson) ignited a huge blaze in the former Sharma & Sharma confectionary factory which caused the death of Frank Clayton (Michael Praed) in 2019.
