Ella Forster’s Shocking Departure from Emmerdale
As her time in the village comes to an end, Ella Forster makes some explosive claims.
After Chas Dingle’s sudden collapse at The Woolpack, suspicions arise over whether Ella spiked her drink. Chas is found unconscious after hitting her head at the pub, and later tests reveal drugs in her system.
With Ella struggling to accept Liam Cavanagh’s relationship with Chas after their breakup, she becomes the prime suspect. Just hours before the incident, she and Chas clashed at Liam and Chas’ engagement party.
When villagers pressure Ella to leave, she refuses—desperate to prove her innocence. Convinced that Chas set her up, she tries to turn Liam against her by suggesting that Chas is addicted to painkillers. Furious, Chas confronts Liam for invading her privacy, while Liam grows impatient with Ella’s accusations.
The following day, Manpreet—one of Ella’s last allies—asks her to leave immediately. In retaliation, Ella drops a bombshell, exposing Manpreet’s blackmail ordeal over explicit photos.
As Ella’s exit from the show looms, she leaves behind a trail of devastation.
Manpreet Sharma’s Blackmail Nightmare Takes a Dangerous Turn
Manpreet Sharma is unknowingly caught up in something even riskier.
A few days ago, Manpreet confided in her friend, Ella Forster (played by Paula Lane), about receiving disturbing blackmail messages over private photos she had shared online. The blackmailer made it clear that deleting her account wouldn’t stop them.
Certain that her career as the village doctor is at risk, Manpreet is left paranoid. In tonight’s episode, the blackmailer demands money and a meeting at the pavilion.
Ella warns Manpreet that paying the blackmailer will only encourage them, but with everything on the line, Manpreet takes the risk. To her shock, the person she meets is none other than Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
Joe insists he isn’t behind the messages, and after an awkward exchange, Manpreet is left confused. But before she can process everything, she receives another message demanding even more money.
Surprisingly, Joe offers to help Manpreet. But as the situation spirals, she soon regrets involving him.
Rebecca Sarker Addresses Manpreet’s Storyline
Rebecca Sarker, who plays Manpreet Sharma, recently discussed her character’s intense new storyline.
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine on March 18th, she teased that viewers might—or might not—find out who the blackmailer is.
She explained, “Manpreet was looking for validation, but things quickly turned toxic. It could be anyone—someone holding a grudge, struggling financially, or dealing with personal issues.”
When asked if Manpreet’s villainous sister, Meena Jutla, could be behind the blackmail, Sarker responded, “Working with Paige Sandhu [who played Meena] was always a pleasure. You never know—maybe she’ll return to the Dales.”
Rebecca also addressed a funny rumor about always wearing high heels in Emmerdale, admitting, “I love heels! My feet are used to them.”
