It’s not been the easiest year for Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) in the wake of her Gran’s turbulent marriage and subsequent murder of Mack’s (Lawrence Robb) kidnapper, and her best friend doing a bunk with her stepdad’s baby.
But good things come to those who wait, and things are looking rosy for the young Dingle in Emmerdale.
First up, she gets herself a job when Cain brings her on board to be the newest mechanic of the Dingle family, just like her mum.
This one she’s not overly happy about – she hadn’t seen getting greasy fixing cars in her future.
But Cain (Jeff Hordley) gives her no choice over pulling her weight in the garage.
She makes her annoyance abundantly clear, but knowing that there’s no arguing with Cain, she puts up and shuts up.
It may just pay off as it becomes clear that there are some perks to the role her Grumps has forced upon her – and they come in the form of a handsome customer bringing in his car for her to work on. Not too shabby.
But while Sarah gets comfortable flirting with the clients, someone else has their nose put out of joint.
While her gran Charity (Emma Atkins) is pleased to see her turning her hand to something new, Mack is less enthused.
He fears he could be about to lose his own place in the family business.
Will he secretly sabotage Sarah’s efforts to protect his employment?
