Is Vinny Dingle dead on Emmerdale and is Bradley Johnson leaving the ITV soap?

Fans are worried we’ve seen the last of Vinny Dingle on Emmerdale after some shocking Tom King scenes.

Vinny was attacked by Tom King this evening when he tracked Belle Dingle’s phone to an unlikely location. Tom King has been abusing his wife and controlling her ever since they tied the knot earlier this year and has gone to extreme lengths to keep an eye on her, including putting a camera in their house to watch her when he’s away and adding a tracker to her phone.

When he noticed that Belle wasn’t at home – as her phone was showing a different location – he drove back from the training he was at, and rushed to see if he could catch Belle in the act, convinced she was up to something.

However, when he arrived, he came across Vinny Dingle, who had taken Belle’s phone to fix it after she spotted a problem with it. He attacked him, before rushing out and leaving him for dead.

Fans are now understandably concerned that Vinny is dead after vile Tom’s unprovoked attack on him.

Is Vinny dead on Emmerdale?

Thankfully, fans will be glad to know that Vinny is not dead. Spoilers for next week on the ITV soap has confirmed that Vinny is alive. Belle is left shocked next week when she sees how battered Vinny is and she decides she should stay to take care of him.

Her decision leaves Tom feeling very jealous and he soon decides he needs to undermine Vinny to keep Belle with him. Belle is suspicious when she spots Tom bonding with Vinny and she is curious about what he is up to.

Knowing Tom has a reason for his behaviour, all becomes clear when she realises that Tom is trying to set Vinny up with a girlfriend. He makes a beeline for Gabby and suggests she’d be perfect for Vinny but Belle is concerned when she notices how much Tom likes talking to Gabby. Is making his wife jealous part of Tom’s evil plan?

Is Bradley Johnson leaving Emmerdale?

As far as we know, Bradley Johnson is staying on the ITV soap. Whilst it is not the end for his character yet, the actor had to film some heartbreaking funeral scenes a couple of years back when Vinny’s wife Liv Dingle died in the storm.

Speaking about the scenes, he said: “It was so emotional because we were doing some acting down at the bottom of the village, so we did not see everyone lined up on Main Street.

“But the director, Vicky, came down and said, ‘Right Bradley, I want you to walk around the corner and as you look up, you will see all the whole cast and they are gonna throw roses as the coffin goes past.'”

He added: “My head was down so the first time I saw everyone was when the camera tilted round, and because of Covid and stuff it’s a rare sight to see every adult cast member being there, so it was really, really emotional. Having the coffins there, and the hearses with their names on, it was a really emotional day but it should look amazing and heartfelt.”
