Emmerdale: John didn’t k.i.l.l Nate, he was trying to save him
We all know John has a saviour complex
Apopular Emmerdale fan theory has picked up speed with speculation rising that John Sugden was the one to k.i.l.l Nate – but what if, instead, he’d been trying to save him? So posits an alternate theory, suggesting that John may have been trying to save Nate prior to his exit from the village.
This came after a beating from his dad and a terrible barn fire, either of which could have been responsible for Nate’s d.e.a.t.h. But, with John apparently being the last person to see Nate alive, many have wondered whether he might have k.i.l.l.e.d Nate and dumped his body in the lake.
John’s almost certainly hiding something, but is he really a k.i.l.l.e.r?
John tried to save Nate, Emmerdale fan theory suggests
Writing on a Reddit thread, one fan put forward their theory, suggesting that John might not be directly responsible for Nate‘s d.e.a.t.h after all.
“I think his d.e.a.t.h may have been an accident. John did something to him and meant to “save” him but got distracted by the fire and he was d.e.a.d by the time John got back to him so then he had to get rid of the body,” this fan said.
“I buy that theory more than John intending to k.i.l.l him tbh,” another agreed.
“Everyone thinks he’s a serial k.i.l.l.e.r but I think maybe he just gets off on saving people and even hurts them in order to be able to save them. I don’t know how that explains Nate’s d.e.a.t.h though unless it was an accident that went wrong,” said a third.
Might John merely be misunderstood?

Is John telling the truth about Anthony’s d.e.a.t.h?
