EastEnders’ Lily flees after her shock secrets are exposed

Troubled EastEnders teen Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) flees her home after her family make a horrifying discovery next week.
Lily has been struggling to come to terms with the d.e.a.t.h of her beloved stepfather Martin Fowler (James Bye), and has been angry at her grieving mum Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) for disappearing in the aftermath.
Having gone off the rails, she started smoking weed and getting drunk with Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James), who is also still processing the trauma she suffered during a harrowing police strip search.
On Monday, fans saw Lily’s anger at Stacey explode as she returned to Walford just in time for Martin’s funeral – but relations between mum and daughter don’t look set to improve any time soon.
Next week, Lily’s grandmother Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) is struggling to discipline her as Stacey is still too consumed with grief.
Lily heads to the Square Gardens where she smokes more weed with Avani. However, she’s stunned when Avani demands payment, forcing Lily to resort to underhand measures to pay her friend.
Meanwhile, Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) heads to the bap van to encourage Jean to make amends with Lily, but the pair are shocked when they make a discovery about Lily.
The troubled teen’s actions are also the talk of the café, where Martin’s other daughter Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) is horrified by what she hears.
Eventually, Lily returns home to face the music, but Jean is disgusted and Lily flees.
But what has Lily done to cause just so much upset? And will the grieving youngster get the support from her family she so desperately needs?
EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 14 April at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
