So, let’s talk about Sabrina—
She didn’t exactly win over a lot of fans in Season 8, and honestly, going into Season 9, it’s still pretty unclear what her character dynamic is going to be. We don’t know much about the new season yet, but the big question is: Who’s going to be Sabrina’s bae?
Will it be Calvin? Rich? Demani? Someone new? Or… no one at all?
If I had to make an educated guess, based on Tyler Perry or whoever is writing now, I think they might have Sabrina stuck in some weird juggling act—second-guessing everything and everyone, even when there’s no reason to.
Let’s break it down:

Calvin was completely wasted in his return. He only popped back up to validate Sabrina’s decision to keep the baby, and that’s it.

Rich? They had a messy, unclear break, but let’s be real—he was with Penelope when Sabrina caught him. That should’ve been the end of that. So why he went running after her afterward? No clue. Her whole reason for going to the juice shop was literally just to return his stuff and dip. Period.
Now when it comes to Demani, that’s the one that actually makes the most sense.
He made it clear he’s interested—he wants to spend time with her, make her laugh, make her smile. He was upfront, and Sabrina was given time to process that. And now that Rich is out of the picture and Calvin’s just a sperm donor at this point, Demani seems like the obvious choice. Like, why not try to build something with a guy who actually seems stable?
But here’s the thing:
Given Sabrina’s track record, how long before she kicks Demani to the curb for someone “better”? That’s kind of her pattern—finding someone who can offer her something the last guy couldn’t.
And here’s a wild card:
Demani works in corporate PR. Marie Willis is a chair at the top of the bank Sabrina works at—way up the ladder. If Sabrina plays Demani and things get messy, and it gets back to Marie? I could actually see her risking her job over it.
Now, I’m not saying that will happen. But after what happened with Tony—yeah, totally different situation, I know—but he got dropped because he was allegedly abusing his power. In this show’s “girl power” world, I wouldn’t even be shocked if Sabrina did the dumping and Demani got fired. That’s how sideways things can go.
So if I had to choose?
Let Sabrina and Demani be a thing, or better yet—let her focus on her career and maybe get pregnant later on by choice, not chaos.
Please, don’t let this season be 20+ episodes of her whining to Maurice about walking in on Rich and Penelope. She told him to see other people. He did. End of story.
As for Calvin—who knows if he’s even coming back. We’ll have to wait and see.
