EastEnders fans convinced Ruby Allen isn’t really leaving after ‘huge clue’
Ruby Allen was seen emotionally leaving Albert Square in tonight's episode - but fans are certain she'll be back for one resident
EastEnders fans witnessed an emotional goodbye between Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) in tonight’s episode. However, some fans are convinced Ruby’s not actually leaving the Square after spotting a ‘huge clue’.
After Martin Fowler’s d.e.a.t.h, Ruby decided there was nothing left for her in Walford anymore. Things only got worse for Ruby after she was accused of setting fire to Martin’s stall. However, it was later discovered that it was actually Lily who had started the fire – although things are still being kept secret for now.
Despite coming to blows before hand, Jean convinced Stacey to part ways with Ruby on good terms, as she headed to Martin’s grave and did just that. The two hugged and put their differences aside as they expressed their shared love for Martin before Ruby and Roman headed off to Essex.
However, Stacey wasn’t the only one Ruby shared an emotional goodbye with. Before leaving, Ruby thanked Zack Hudson (James Farrar) for always being there for her after he told her he cared about her. Now, fans think Ruby will be back to strike up a romance with Zack, despite him being best friends with Martin.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan questioned: “are they hinting at zack and ruby or something?” Another penned: “Ruby looking at Zac with those eyes , she will be back #Eastenders.
Fans previously saw an emotional Zack make a move on Ruby after Martin’s d.e.a.t.h, but he was firmly rejected. He apologised and said he misread the signals – as his mind was elsewhere. Despite just losing his best friend Martin, Zack had also recently discovered that he was the father of Nicola Mitchell’s youngest son, Barney.
Louisa has previously spoken about her exit from the soap, revealing that the door had been left open for her return. Speaking to The Sun before her departure aired, Louisa said: “I left EastEnders a couple of weeks ago. I was only back for six months, to tie in with the 40th and Martin’s exit.
“It’s always good to come and go and I never see it as a big thing when I leave because I can be back again!”
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
