Emmerdale’s Jurell Carter demands ‘justice’ as Nate Robinson exit twist revealed
Emmerdale star Jurell Carter has broken his silence after his character, Nate Robinson, was brutally k.i.l.l.e.d off in the ITV soap during Thursday night's hour long episode
Emmerdale’s Jurell Carter has finally spoken out about his departure from the soap, calling for “justice” for his character Nate Robinson following the airing of his dramatic d.e.a.t.h scene.
Carter first graced our screens as Nate in 2019, but his character recently vanished from the village after accepting a new job in Shetland, following the breakdown of his marriage to Tracy Metcalfe.
Fans started to question Nate’s absence when the only communication from him was a text confirming his safe arrival. The introduction of enigmatic newcomer John Sugden, who was the last person to have contact with Nate, further raised eyebrows.
The truth about Nate’s fate was revealed during the Valentine’s limo crash. Amy Wyatt, finding herself submerged in a frozen lake, came across Nate’s lifeless body at the bottom.
With his body bound and chained, it was evident that Nate’s demise was no accident. As viewers eagerly awaited answers, suspicion fell heavily on John Sugden, reports the Manchester Evening News.
In Thursday’s (April 10) hour-long episode, we were shown Nate’s final moments. He sustained injuries in a barn fire, and John Sugden attempted to save him by administering an injection.
Tragically, Nate had a severe reaction to the injection, causing him to collapse and d.i.e. A distraught John then wrapped up Nate’s body and disposed of it in the lake.
In recent episodes, John appears to exhibit a “hero complex”, causing harm to unsuspecting victims before stepping in to “saves” them.
He masterminded the swapping of Chas’ pills, framed Ella Forster, caused Jacob’s allergic reaction, and was inadvertently responsible for Nate’s d.e.a.t.h.
Following the episode’s airing, Jurell shared a clip on Instagram featuring flashbacks of Nate’s demise. He captioned it: “Justice for my boy Nate”, accompanied by broken heart emojis.
After his Emmerdale exit, Jurell embraced the role of Loggo in James Graham’s adaptation of Boys from the Blackstuff.
The play, based on Alan Bleasdale’s BAFTA-winning TV drama, is set in 1980s Liverpool and chronicles the struggles of five men seeking employment in a jobless landscape.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
