There’s terror for EastEnders’ Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) next week as she finds out that her k.i.l.l.e.r secret is dangerously close to being exposed.
Last month, it was revealed that Nicola m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d her son Harry’s (Elijah Holloway) ex-girlfriend Shireen, who has been missing for the last four years.
Fans of the BBC soap then saw Nicola discover that her crew had disposed of Shireen’s body by burying her in a disused warehouse in Dartford – the part of London where the extended Mitchell clan used to live.
Upon hearing that her ex-husband Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) planned to go into business with Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) in the Dartford area, Nicola tried to dissuade him out of fear of her secret being discovered.
Unfortunately for Nicola, Teddy ignored her pleas and secretly signed a deal with Junior, with the redevelopment site later revealed to be the Paradise Park industrial estate – aka the exact spot where Shireen is buried.
Next week, Nicola finds out that Teddy went against her wishes when she overhears him taking a clandestine call from Junior about the project.
She begs him to pull out of the deal but he refuses and he later recruits Walford newcomer Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) to join the build.
But Nicola’s worst nightmare is realised when she arrives to offer Teddy support and learns of the exact location of the site.
She’s further horrified when Teddy reveals that construction work is due to start later in the week, and she summons her associate Benji to Harry’s Barn for emergency talks.
Realising she’s out of options, Nicola tells Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) – who has recently been helping her supply drugs to the club – that she has a job she’s willing to pay him £10k to do.
But will he agree? Or is Shireen’s body just days away from being discovered?
