As Joe leaves pills at Caleb’s in Emmerdale, upcoming scenes see Steph close to rumbling his kidney troubles
Is his kidney plot about to be discovered?
Tuesday’s episode of Emmerdale saw Joe Tate make a big mistake when he left some pills at Caleb’s, and upcoming scenes will see Steph and Caleb come close to discovering the truth about the kidney theft.
As viewers know, Joe is the reason Caleb only has one kidney – though Caleb is unaware of this fact.
As Joe tries to keep the illegal kidney transplant under wraps, his mistake leads to Steph coming close to rumbling the whole plot.
Joe leaves his pills behind
Caleb and Joe had lunch together during Tuesday’s episode, where they played happy families while really playing each other.
Caleb was eager to throw Joe off the Anthony scent regarding Steph’s comment that she isn’t related to Joe. While Joe wants dirt on Caleb, probably to use against him incase the kidney plot comes to light.
Caleb spun Joe a yarn about Anthony being violent, leading to Ruby not wanting to be at home when she was younger. In a half truth, Caleb told Joe that he wasn’t Steph’s real father – and that Steph’s dad is someone Ruby had a one night stand with to escape her father.
While Caleb believed Joe had fallen for his story, Joe was preoccupied and told Noah he hadn’t got want he wanted from Caleb.
Joe later realised he’d left his jacket at Caleb’s. Sure enough, we then saw it hanging on the back of the chair in the Miligans’ kitchen, with the kidney medication sticking out of the pocket.
Steph gets close to the truth about kidney plot in Emmerdale
Upcoming scenes will see Joe return to the house to retrieve his jacket.
As Steph Miligan hands it to him, the pills fall out of the pocket. Joe quickly stuffs them back in, but it’s too late and suspicion is aroused.
Things only get worse when Noah lets slip to Caleb all about the random memory he had. Noah tells Caleb that he remembers being in a hospital with Joe after he was spiked.
Will Caleb and Steph see this is no coincidence and put the pieces of the puzzle together?
