Returning Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise spin-off reveals exciting update and confirms “iconic” guest star

A Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise favourite is back!

Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise spin-off Return to Paradise has shared some big updates for season 2, including an “iconic” guest star.

The latest series in the ever-growing Paradise franchise follows a detective who returns to Australia and solves all sorts of murder cases in the Down Under sun, while pining to go back to the UK.

Filming for the second season is officially under way, and the BBC has confirmed that it will be coming to BBC One and iPlayer.

The BBC also announced a huge guest star, with Ardal O’Hanlon reprising his role as Dᴇᴀᴛʜ in Paradise‘s Jack Mooney.

Other guest stars in the new season include Danielle Cormack, Meyne Wyatt, Roz Hammond, Justine Clarke, Michelle Lim Davidson, Greg Stone, Zoe Carides, Simon Lyndon, Miah Madden and You Am I singer Tim Rogers.

The official synopsis for season two teases that Mack will be reeling after her ex fiancé Glenn admitted that he still loved her, despite his upcoming marriage to Daisy.

“Luckily for Mack, her compulsion to solve impossible cases serves as a great distraction, and there’s no shortage of murders to investigate,” the synopsis reads.

“From the literary world to state-of-the-art shark labs, dating apps and rock concerts, Mack and her team face challenging mysteries with their unique blend of humour and tenacity.

“But Mack’s biggest challenge of all? Finding a way to exist in Dolphin Cove as the ultimate outsider.”

Anna Samson (Mack), Lloyd Griffith (Colin), Tai Hara (Glenn), Catherine McClements (Philomena), Celia Ireland (Reggie), Andrea Demetriades (Daisy), and Aaron McGrath (Felix) will all be back.
