Where is Beyond Paradise filmed? BBC show’s filming locations revealed
Can't stop daydreaming about Shipton Abbott? Here are the picturesque locations where it was filmed.
BBC’s Beyond Paradise is making us daydream about visiting every one of the stunning coastal sets. But exactly where is Beyond Paradise filmed?
With reports suggesting that filming for season 4 will begin in July, we’re recommending you hit up these on-screen hotspots before the summer rush.
The show, a spin-off of BBC’s wildly popular Death in Paradise may only be in its second season, but it’s already proving to be a massive, bingeable hit — we are loving catching up with detective Humphrey (Kris Marshall) and his fiancée Martha Lloyd (Sally Bretton) as they tackle more wild crimes in the fictional town of Shipton Abbott.
While we, admittedly, love seeing this duo solving crimes, we keep getting distracted by the gorgeous Devon countryside in the background. So, where was Beyond Paradise filmed? And… can we actually visit Shipton Abbott for ourselves?
If you ever visit Looe for yourself, there are plenty of local sights that may look a little familiar, such as Looe Bridge, the iconic arched bridge that features on the show, Fore Street, which serves as Shipton Abbott’s market square, and The Guildhall, which doubles as the police station.
The BBC show also films in other idyllic towns in the south west, including Fowey, Saltash, St Germans and Launceston. Port Eliot House & Gardens in St Germans, for instance, serves as the Shipton Abbott Manor House — and the good news is, you can visit it for yourself.
The show does occasionally film in Devon, too — for instance, scenes at the boatyard are shot at Bere Alston.
