Emmerdale have revisited Nate Robinson’s final storyline amid a new twist on the ITV soap. John Sugden k.i.l.l.e.d Nate in a shock twist, with the revelations being made months after his exit.
Jurrell Carter bid farewell to his role of Nate back last year when Nate moved elsewhere and away from his family. At the time, he posted a lengthy tribute to his co-stars and his time on Emmerdale.
“So after 5 years, my time at Emmerdale has come to an end. I always say I don’t know where the time has gone but I genuinely don’t have a clue. I want to thank every single person who has supported me, rooted for me, watched me develop and grow over these past 5 years, I truly appreciate you. It’s been a massive chapter of my life and will always hold a special place in my heart,” he wrote.
“Emmerdale is a big family, from the minute I walked in the building on my first day I was made to feel welcome and wanted and I’ve been truly blessed to be a part of it. Making the choice to leave a place that felt like home, a place I was constantly learning, excited to be and where I was working alongside some beautiful and very talented people was never going to be easy.”

He added: “Being a part of a show that’s always been a family favourite, my mum’s, my late grandmother’s (Mamma’s), a show that became my dad’s favourite and making them all so proud, will honestly forever mean everything to me. So from the bottom of my heart, I’m forever grateful and I thank you all. God bless.”
Whilst everyone had thought Nate had moved to Scotland, the limousine crash revealed all about what happened – that Nate’s body was in the lake and laid undiscovered for months.
Soon, it was revealed that John was responsible for Nate’s d.e.a.t.h. After seeing how bad he was, John tried to help him but ended up injecting him with too much of the medicine and it caused him to d.i.e.
Since then, John had targeted other villagers including framing Ella for stalking Chas and Liam and he also deliberately gave Jacob something with nuts in so he could save him from his allergic reaction.
Speaking about the Nate storyline, Oliver Farnworth – who plays John – said: “Obviously, what happened with Nate to all intents and purposes was an accident, but there’s no way that John dealt with it ,or is continuing to deal with it, in the right way. Not just from a legal point of view, but from the point of view of the families that will be affected. There will certainly be a lot of fallout from that.”
