ITV Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Anthony’s d.e.a.d body’s location in sickening twist
Emmerdale fans are convinced they have worked out where Anthony Fox's body is buried, after a huge twist in the soap this week
Emmerdale fans believe the soap has subtly hinted at the location of Anthony Fox’s deceased body.
The character of Anthony (played by Nicholas Day), a known abuser, was introduced to the soap last year as the estranged father of Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly). As Anthony made himself at home in the village, Ruby’s behaviour became increasingly erratic, suggesting she was concealing something about her father.
It later came to light that Anthony had sexually abused Ruby when she was just 14, and it was confirmed that he is the biological father of Ruby’s daughter Steph (Georgia Jay).
Following the revelation of Anthony’s heinous crimes, several villagers sought revenge. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Ruby ended up m.u.r.d.e.r.i.n.g him.
Now, numerous other residents are implicated in the cover-up of the m.u.r.d.e.r, including Caleb, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), and Cain (Jeff Hordley), reports Leicestershire Live.
Newcomer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) also played a role in disposing of Anthony’s body. Despite claiming he had buried Anthony in the woods, it transpired he was not telling the truth.
John remained resolute in his decision not to disclose the actual location of the body, arguing that the fewer people knew about the crime, the better. However, fans now think they have figured out where Anthony is buried.
In recent episodes, Kim Tate (Claire King) proposed to Caleb Miligan (William Ash) that he take over the land surrounding his depot, in an attempt to quell the ongoing feud between him and her step-grandson Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
In the latest twist from Tuesday’s episode (April 29) of Emmerdale, Caleb dropped a hint that he might pass on the land to his daughter Steph. However, viewers are now speculating that Anthony’s body could be concealed within this very plot of land.
On an Emmerdale fan page on Facebook, a viewer speculated: “I think Caleb getting Kim’s land will eventually lead to Anthony’s body being found.”
Another fan concurred with the theory, posting: “I said the same, I think John buried him in the land somewhere.” Echoing the sentiment, a third person added: “Yep John put him there.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
