The programme’s fanbase is keen to understand if Don will be making a comeback after season 14 wrapped up on a cliffhanger surrounding his alter-ego, Commissioner Selwyn Patterson.
Don, who had played Selwyn since 2011, finally decided to step down from the police force, and it looked as though his character was leaving for good.

In the series 14 finale, Selwyn Patterson was offered his job back after initially being replaced. Fans were shocked when Selwyn rejected the proposal and expressed his desire to take some time to visit his daughter, Andrina.
In the final scenes, he offered his goodbyes to Catherine Bordey. He told her, “Promise me you will look after yourself and them,” he added, gesturing to his ex-colleagues.
“Promise me this isn’t farewell, but au revoir,” the mayor said as he told her, “Au revoir then, my friend,” before zipping off in a taxi.
