John Sugden to strike at iconic character – Spine-chilling truth exposed
John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) has been left on edge after learning worrying news regarding Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) in Emmerdale.
Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) has spent the majority of this year angry at Nate for seemingly cutting all ties with his family but in particular, their little girl Frankie. He was offered a job in Shetland before 2024 ended and then vanished, with Tracy becoming a single parent as a result of Nate ‘ghosting’ her.
The truth about Nate’s disappearance is that he was k.i.l.l.e.d by John. He administered medication to Nate after he was attacked, but he reacted badly and d.i.e.d, with John then dumping his body in the lake.
It’s only been in the last few days that Tracy has started to ponder over how weird it is for Nate to stop speaking to everyone. Growing curious has largely been because of Frankie, who keeps asking where her dad is.
Tracy can’t provide her with a proper answer – and she’d certainly like to know one.
Recently, Cain called Nate’s phone and left a message. The voicemail was listened to by John later that day, and he then accidentally answered another call from Cain.
John didn’t say anything, but the fact the call was answered made it look as though Nate contemplated speaking to his dad.
In tonight’s episode, Tracy spoke to Cain again about Nate. They both concluded that while they’d understand him not speaking to the adults in the family, neither of them could work out why he wouldn’t want to see his little girl anymore.
Just before the episode ended, John paid Tracy a visit to see how she was feeling. She updated him and revealed Cain’s decision, which left him troubled.
We’ve seen in the past that if someone gets in the way of John’s plan, he doesn’t hesitate in sorting them out. With him also being responsible for drugging Chas (Lucy Pargeter), framing Ella (Paula Lane) and forcing Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) to have an allergic reaction, this man is capable of a lot.
But is he really capable of going up against Cain Dingle?
If John attempts to do something about Cain and fails, will this mark the start of his secrets unravelling?
