Emmerdale confirms newcomer Rose’s identity – and secret connection to much-loved villager
Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) got the shock of his life in Thursday’s (April 25) episode of Emmerdale when he came face to face with Rose (Christine Tremarco) – Dawn’s (Olivia Bromley) mum.
Will started his day under the impression he would be helping Kim (Claire King) with looking after baby Evan, Lucas and Clemmie.
However, when he received a phone call, he dashed off and told Kim he had taken a job on their day off.
At the hospital, Will arrived at ward room and faced Rose, who was sitting on a bed with brace on to support her arm.
Will was angry to see Rose and asked her why he was still listed as her next of kin. As Will wondered why Rose was back after all this time, he pointed out she hadn’t even asked after Dawn – their daughter.
We discovered that shortly after Rose gave birth to Dawn, she made the decision parenthood wasn’t for her. The newcomer said being around a little baby all of the time wasn’t appealing, so she took off, created a new life, and now works in Benidorm.
Of course, as soon as Rose left the home, Will was left alone with Dawn. He explained to his ex that he took on some dodgy jobs to try and earn money and as a result, ended up in prison, which put young Dawn in the upsetting position of constantly being moved from care home to care home.
All of this was said in the hope Rose might feel sorry for her choices, but she didn’t. Before he left, Will took his name off Rose’s file and returned home, convinced he wouldn’t cross paths with her anymore.
