Emmerdale fans say the same thing as Ross and Manpreet spend an ‘unexpected night’ together
Emmerdale fans were left in shock during tonight's episode as Ross Barton was seen leaving Manpreet Sharma's house after an "unexpectedly fun evening"
Emmerdale fans were left stunned after two villagers were seen getting close during tonight’s episode.
Ross Barton was seen leaving Manpreet Sharma’s house at the start of tonight’s episode, as she told him: “Well, that was an unexpectedly fun evening. It’s a shame I’m working, could have made a morning of it,” the GP continued, before asking Ross when she’d be able to see him again.
Ross then told her he wasn’t “really looking for anything serious,” to which Manpreet replied: “So would you be up for something un-serious?”
However, Ross made a sharp run for it when he saw Caleb in the background, who then asked him about his break up with Steph.
Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to express their feelings towards the pairing, with many left unimpressed. “Ross and Manpreet have slept together?! #Emmerdale,” said one shocked fan, while a second wrote: “Oh god Ross and Manpreet,” along with a sick emoji.
“i love ross and i love manpreet but them together is nottttt it #emmerdale,” said a third disappointed fan, while a fourth agreed: “Manpreet and Ross doing the walk of shame, why are the writers trying to force this on us.#Emmerdale”.
Manpreet and Ross’ night together came after a game of pool between the two became very flirty, with Ross drowning his sorrows following his break up with Steph.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Manpreet had been sharing intimate photos of herself online, seeking validation after a series of unsuccessful relationships. However, these were discovered by villain Joe Tate, who used them for blackmail.
It’s also been a tough time for Ross, who was recently dumped by Steph as she attempted to wipe out all traces of her father Anthony from her face by arranging plastic surgery. During her meltdown, she also lashed out at Ross. Although he was there to support her, Steph instead decided to call off the relationship, leaving Ross heartbroken.
Elsewhere in tonight’s episode Gail Loman, played by actress Rachael Gill-Davis, said goodbye to the soap for good. She recently realised she was no longer in love with partner Ryan, and in heartbreaking final scenes she decided it was time to move away from the village and start a new life somewhere else. In sad scenes she hugged it out with Ryan and said goodbye to those closest to her, before driving out of the village for good.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
