Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) turns detective in upcoming Emmerdale episodes as she becomes the next person to realise it’s awfully strange of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) to vanish without a trace.

A few weeks ago, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) decided he would go to Shetland to try and find Nate. He had discovered from Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) that Nate had barely been in contact since he left last year, and found it odd he was now pretending as though his daughter doesn’t exist.

With Tracy struggling to get by, Cain believed he could go to Shetland and get some answers from Nate, but he never actually went.

This was because Nate’s killer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) organised for someone to remove Nate’s belongings from his house the next day. To Tracy and Cain, it was a sign Nate no longer wanted anything to do with his family in the village, so they weren’t going to waste their time in trying to get in contact with him anymore.

In upcoming episodes, Tracy continues to use the credit card that came in the post addressed to Nate, but it gets declined. Fortunately, Belle is able to help her out and after a chat, she’s left suspicious about Nate’s out of character disappearance.

Starting to do some digging, Belle then discovers some life-changing information and later tells Sam (James Hooton) that Nate never arrived at his job in Shetland.

Once Cain finds out, he’s left troubled.

As he gets word of what’s going on, John does his best to convince Belle that Nate doesn’t want to be found, and attempts to tell her that reporting him as a missing person wouldn’t be a good idea.

Belle agrees to not get the police involved for Tracy’s sake, and John starts to think that things are getting back on track.

However, before the week ends, John overhears Moira (Natalie J Robb) telling Cain that the water company has to dredge the lake as a result of the slurry incident.

Utterly panicked, John wonders what to do next, knowing Nate’s body will be uncovered in a matter of days.
