Emmerdale’s Dawn set to pay as Billy gets the upper hand in unexpected move
Poor Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) had a slither of hope in his heart at the start of this week’s Emmerdale, as he made a discovery about Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).
Following Joe Tate’s (Ned Porteous) fall, it wasn’t long until Dawn confessed to Billy that she was responsible for pushing him. The confession happened because Dawn hoped that Billy would help her keep it a secret as despite their differences at the moment, neither of them wanted to create anymore problems for their children.
The plan was to create alibis for each other, but it also involved tricking people into thinking they were back together.
Dawn was a little unsure about this narrative, but Billy pushed for it and said if they tell everyone they’re a couple again, they won’t even contemplate wondering if either of them had motive to push Joe.
A hopeful Billy was more than happy to go along with this story, clearly wanting Dawn to miss her old life with him. He moved back into Home Farm, explained a simpler story to the children, and continued to tell Dawn that his little family is the only thing that matters to him.
Unfortunately though, Dawn did not share the same view.
Also in tonight’s episode, Kim (Claire King) told Dawn that Joe would be brought out of his coma soon. She could see in Dawn’s eyes that she was desperate to go and visit him, but thought it would be too much of a risk.
Unbeknownst to them both, Billy was on the stairs listening to their conversation. Shocked at the fact Dawn still felt something for Joe, he confronted her and asked if she loves him.
Dawn said yes, leading to a realisation from Billy.
With his marriage being thrown out of the same window Joe fell from, Billy had nothing to lose. He stood up and told Dawn that if he doesn’t get full custody of the children, he’ll report her to the police.
Dawn tried to fight, but Billy certainly had the upper hand. He didn’t want Clemmie, Lucas and Evan living in a toxic environment and said he’ll have no qualms about throwing Dawn to the wolves.
The showdown left Dawn in tears, more than likely because she knows Billy will be at an advantage if they went through the courts regarding custody.
With Billy now primarily focused on his kids, how far will he go in this battle with Dawn?
