Reunion for Ian and Cindy Beale
EastEnders fans have been left with mixed emotions after tonight's episode - as many believe the soap has hinted at a reunion between Ian and Cindy after one telling scene

Ian and Cindy Beale have had a turbulant relationship during their years in EastEnders – to say the least. Their relationship came crashing down once again over Christmas when Cindy’s affair with Junior was exposed, and things have just gone from bad to worse since.
After Cindy shot Ian in the arm and tried to push him in front of Reiss Colwell’s car, it looked like things could never go back to normal between the two. However, despite their hatred for each other, one scene from tonight’s episode raised eyebrows with fans.
During the episode, Peter was seen emotionally confiding in his grandmother Kathy as he spoke about the problems he and Lauren had been having with their newborn son Jimmy. Cindy then overheard this conversation at the cafe, and then went over to Ian’s to report back.

At first, Ian slammed the door on his ex-partners face, however he soon gave in, as she exclaimed: “This isn’t about us. It’s about Peter and our grandchildren. However much you hate me, we’re always going to have them in common.”
As he let Cindy in, she began to warn Ian about Lauren, calling her a “sinking ship.” She then told Ian that they need to stick together, so Lauren would be the one left in the cold – not them. Although Ian didn’t say anything – it’s the first time he’s heard Cindy out since their breakup, and now fans fear they may do more than stick together.
Taking to Reddit after the episode, one fan penned: “I’m hoping Ian doesn’t fall for Cindys b*******t, again,” while another wrote: “I can’t with Ian s******g himself everytime he sees cindy same honestly her power #EastEnders”.

Another fan who seemed angry at the prospect penned: “I really hope they don’t, but after today I feel like they’re hinting towards it [crying emojis]”.
However, others are rooting for the two to get back on track, as one fan wrote: “Call me crazy but for some reason i STILL want to see Ian and Cindy ACTUALLY be together and be happy with each other. I’m secretly rooting for Ian and Cindy to get back together. Controversial I know, but this is the hill I’m willing to d.i.e on.”
Last week, Michelle Collins ‘hinted’ towards a reunion between her character and Ian during an interview on This Morning.
“Ian is always such a wimp when it comes to Cindy,” host Ben Shephard said. “I can still see Cindy getting him back, he’s never stopped loving her,” he said.
“He adores her!” Michelle exclaimed. “She loves him, but she’s not IN love with him. I think he can’t live with her but he can’t live without her. There’s a lot of old couples like that.”
