Emmerdale’s Tom King to ‘face the music’ as character fate ‘sealed’ in 22 pictures
Emmerdale lines up a dinner party to remember but the food is not the only thing being served up, with an utterly chilling week on the horizon for the ITV soap, as confirmed in my new pictures.
Tom King’s (James Chase) campaign of abuse towards wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) reaches disturbing new heights – or perhaps lows would be more apt – as he leaves her in fear of her life.
The vet organises a dinner party with his colleagues, despite the fact that earlier in the week, it’s one of those very co-workers that he targets, getting into quite the showdown with Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) who, quite rightly, calls out a major mistake.
Tom lets his confidence run away with him, diagnosing an elderly dog with cancer without conducting the necessary tests required to determine such a diagnosis.
Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Vanessa arrive in the nick of time and it turns out the dog has just an abscess. Tom attempts to use the situation to his advantage, claiming Vanessa has made him feel unwelcome in how she called him out.
Get the violins out.
In a bid to ease the tension at the vets, the abuser subsequently invites the veterinary staff and their partners to a dinner party at Dale Head, with Belle left to organise the entire thing at incredibly short notice.
The wedding planner is on edge, with Tom once again making little of her and her efforts, ordering her to change her outfit to something he deems to be more ‘appropriate’ for such an event.
As tensions simmer between Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), who are both in attendance, Belle takes herself to the kitchen to cry, having been upset by her Tom once more.
Tom also corners her in the bathroom while the guests are still downstairs and, following Marlon and Rhona’s argument, everyone decides to leave, with Belle pleading with them to stay, terrified of being left alone with menacing Tom.
Elsewhere, Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) is left fighting for his life after Ethan Anderson (Emile John) loses control of a car he was driving, with the solicitor subsequently running away from the scene!
It’s going to be a big week – one not to be missed.
