Emmerdale spoiler video: Belle Dingle devastated by news about dad Zak following Steve Halliwell’s death
Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is set to be crushed by news about dad Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) ahead of her wedding to Tom King (James Chase) in Emmerdale, a new spoiler video has revealed.
Belle and Tom are set to tie the knot this week, but their journey to the altar has so far been far from smooth.
It took Belle a while to find the right time to pop the question, but after managing to source Torvill and Dean for a special ice rink proposal, she was thrilled when Tom agreed to marry her.
However, Tom’s controlling nature soon came to the forefront, as he left Belle upset by making huge decisions about their wedding without consulting her first.
Things only got worse when he drunkenly told her that her dress looked cheap, leaving her completely devastated.
Unfortunately, the worst is yet to come, as a new spoiler video shows Belle receiving a call with bad news from her dad.
She is horrified to hear that he has done his back in, and can’t travel down from Scotland for the wedding.
Belle is left completely crushed, and even considers cancelling, given how many things have already gone wrong.
‘Obviously his attendance means so much to her but then Tom explains that his parents aren’t there either so he says let us focus on us – this is about our day and how they are all there in spirit,’ actress Eden Taylor-Draper explained. ‘So in the end she is fine with it but obviously it is a huge deal for her.’
The update about Zak comes after the sad death of actor Steve Halliwell last year.
Steve was a much loved member of the Emmerdale, as Cain Dingle actor Jeff Hordley revealed to Metro.co.uk during an exclusive interview at the TV Choice Awards.
‘Sadly we lost Steve Halliwell before Christmas and that’s been a real blow to us because he’s such an important figure in our show,’ he said.
‘Not just on screen but behind the scenes he was a much-loved man and really influenced us as actors and showed us how to behave and also how to have fun and do the job properly.’
