Emmerdale’s Tracy Metcalfe, played by Amy Walsh, has warned fans that they’ll be ‘shouting at their screens’ in the upcoming episodes.
Viewers will remember that both Tracy and Cain Dingle have been worried about Nate Robinson due to his unexplained absence.
Initially believing he had relocated to Shetland for a new job, Nate’s family and friends have heard little from him, with ex-partner Tracy receiving neither payments for their daughter Frankie nor any communication apart from a single message upon his ‘arrival in Shetland’.
It was later unveiled that the villainous newcomer John Sugden had m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d Nate while attempting to play the hero during last year’s barn fire, disposing of his body in the nearby lake. To date, no one is aware of Nate’s m.u.r.d.e.r or that John was the perpetrator.

Earlier this year, John was thrown into a panic when Nate’s phone received another call from Cain, which he accidentally answered before quickly hanging up, reports Leicestershire Live.
In the forthcoming scenes, a body is discovered in the lake, its identity unknown. Initially, the Dingle and Miligan families fear that the body could be Anthony Fox, causing widespread panic.
However, it soon transpires that the body is Nate’s, and the police arrive to deliver the devastating news to Tracy, who recounts her late husband’s final days in the village.
Meanwhile, Cain and Moira Dingle are caught off guard when DC Cole reveals the news, adding that the body is so decomposed that he cannot even visit his son.

In shocking scenes on Emmerdale, Cain is brought in for police questioning and learns he’s a suspect following a dispute with his son on the day of his d.e.a.t.h.
Doubts start to creep in among the Dingles, even Chas can’t shake off her suspicions about what really happened.
As tensions mount, an emotional Cain reaches out to Tracy, trying to offer solace, but she begins to question his every move, later sharing her doubts with sister Vanessa Woodfield.
The drama amplifies when DC Cole turns up with news of a fresh twist in the investigation concerning Nate…

Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh, who portrays Tracy, spoke about the gripping storyline while being asked whether viewers will be “shouting at their screens” as John grows closer to Tracy: “It’s very frustrating!”, she shared, noting that “John’s played a good one because she doesn’t really have another confidant at all apart from Vanessa.
“I think just having someone else that believes Tracy and is, you know, kind of showing that I guess not a fatherly figure at all because they’re the same age but it’s just that caring figure.
“He’s really pulled the wool over her eyes. It’s that thing though, when someone’s that vulnerable and someone’s nice to them, you know, they often kind of fall into their hands and get the wool pulled over their eyes. So he absolutely has done that and she doesn’t really suspect him at all.”
Amy, 38, added: “It’s really heartbreaking. Everything that unfolds after that initial news is just heartbreaking and obviously the main person she’s thinking about in all of this is Frankie [their daughter].”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV and ITV X at 7.30pm with an hour-long episode on Thursdays and is available to stream from 7am on ITV X.
