Does Zack or Teddy d.i.e in EastEnders and are they leaving? Fates ‘sealed’ after crash

Zack Hudson and Teddy Mitchell were left in serious danger on EastEnders on Tuesday night.

Fans fear the pair might be leaving and at least one of them will d.i.e, as both characters were in a car that veered off the road and into a lake. The episode ended as the car hit the water with the fates of those in the car not revealed.

But are Zack or Teddy leaving the show for good, and will one or both characters meet a grisly end? There has been no mention of any looming exits for either character.

The crash came at a pivotal moment too, while there could be hints at a demise for Zack. Zack finally exposed to residents that he was the father of Barney Mitchell, Teddy’s son.

He crossed Nicola hugely, not only by getting her arrested for Shireen’s m.u.r.d.e.r but also by outing her cheating to her family – and the paternity lie. Then there’s the fact Zack was plotting to flee Walford with Barney, so an exit was already sealed.

So does this mean the end of the road for the character, given he’s crossed the wrong people and was already tipped to leave? He isn’t mentioned at all in any spoilers for next week which does not bode well.

That said, his sister Sharon Watts is away from Walford. Would they really k.i.l.l off her brother in such dramatic fashion if she wasn’t going to be there for the aftermath?

Then there’s Teddy who wasn’t the original driver of the car, swapping with his kidnapper son Harry Mitchell. This twist of fate has left him in danger after a panicked Zack tried to get control of the car causing the crash.

Similarly, Teddy is not mentioned at all in next week’s episode spoilers. That said Nicola is, as is Barney and while there’s hints teen Barney is struggling, Nicola does not seem worried at all and is busy with business drama – so does this prove Teddy survives the crash?

Surely she wouldn’t be thinking about business and would be a mess if Teddy had been k.i.l.l.e.d. Viewers have clocked onto the fact the spoilers suggest the Mitchells survive, while it’s not clear on Zack’s fate.

Viewers have had their say though on who will d.i.e, with fans convinced Zack is a red herring and that Teddy loses his life. One fan posted: “I feel like Teddy is going to d.i.e this week, so it’ll at least leave room for Nicola to stick around.”

Another agreed: “I’m gonna hate if Teddy d.i.e.s,” as a third fan posted: “I think only Teddy, the signs are pointing to a Zack d.e.a.t.h but I can’t see them k.i.l.l.i.n.g off another young dad so soon after Martin.”

Some fans think there will be no d.e.a.t.h.s though. One theory read: “I have a feeling this will be a fake out and no one will d.i.e, but if I had to choose it would be Zach. He’s annoying and I think he’s run his course.”
