Emmerdale legend Jeff Hordley has been sent a ‘there’s a new bad boy in town’ message.

This comes from Shebz Miah, who plays Kammy in Emmerdale. He made the admission speaking to journalists at an Emmerdale press conference.

Shebz, from Bradford, made his debut as Kammy earlier this year with the character causing lots of mischief in the village as well as being involved in a love-triangle featuring Sarah and Jacob. The acting star is a self-confessed Emmerdale fan who has loved working with icon Jeff Hordley – who plays village rogue Cain Dingle.

Shebz said: “He’s so down-to-earth. When I first walked in, you are aware of people’s presence. Someone like Jeff could walk around with a chip on his shoulder but since I’ve been here he’s been so down-to-earth.”

The Emmerdale newcomer, who has previously appeared in Doctors and Casualty, said Jeff has been a mentor to the up-and-coming actor.

Shebz said: “I’m always bombarding him with different questions.” He went on to joke: “I’m really grateful and he loves the fact that I tease him and say ‘there’s a new bad boy in town’.”

We’ll have to see if character Kammy can match some of the deeds Cain has committed down the years.
