Hot: There’s no father-son connection between Zack and Barney
EastEnders fans are convinced that Zack Hudson is set to welcome baby number four into the world following his drama with Barney Mitchell
EastEnders has unveiled another twist for Zack Hudson (James Farrar) as he spent the night with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), betraying her fiancé Peter Beale (Thomas Law).
Just last week, Zack survived a shocking car crash after threatening to kidnap Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman) upon discovering he is the lad’s biological father. After Teddy’s (Roland Manookian) car crashed into a lake, Zack was feared d.e.a.d but had actually managed to escape the Mitchell family’s clutches, fearing for his life.
Barney was also informed about his true parentage before Zack pressured him to leave the Square. Zack is also dad to baby Peach, who was tragically stillborn, and also his young daughter Dolly, but viewers reckon he’s on track to become a father for the fourth time.
Elsewhere in the Square, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) faced the wrath of her fiancé Peter Beale (Thomas Law) over their son Jimmy Beale’s severe sight-impairment diagnosis, with Peter blaming Lauren’s drug use during pregnancy.
After a distressing confrontation with Peter, Lauren decided to break her sobriety by having a drink at the Queen Vic – but was turned away by fellow alcoholic Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), reports Belfast Live.
Instead, she headed to Harry’s Barn, where she demanded a drink but was refused by Gina Knight (Francesca Henry). She then became angry before Zack arrived and persuaded her to leave.
Lauren’s return to Zack’s flat saw her reaching for a drink, but Zack encouraged her to stay and chat instead.
As they both opened up about their parenting struggles, with Lauren discussing Peter and Zack sharing about Barney, they realised they hadn’t been the parents they aspired to be.
The atmosphere changed when Zack complimented Lauren on being a blessing to her family, leading to a moment of physical closeness and a fiery kiss between them.
Come Tuesday (June 3), Lauren found herself waking up at Zack’s place before meeting Peter and Jimmy at the café.
Peter showed hesitation in letting Lauren near their baby after she had been out all night.
Tensions escalated later in the episode when Peter ended things with Lauren, blaming her for Jimmy’s health issues and threatening to take their sons from her.
But the plot thickens as EastEnders enthusiasts are now buzzing with theories that Lauren and Zack’s steamy encounter could result in a pregnancy.
Social media is abuzz, with one viewer posting: “And it was set up so that Lauren and Zack would sleep together baby no I’ve lost count #EastEnders.”
Another fan speculated: “Baby no 4 or something #EastEnders”, while another added: “Pregnant by the end of the week #EastEnders.”
One viewer even predicted: “Lauren is gonna get pregnant by accident again with Zack #EastEnders”.
