Emmerdale fans ‘twig’ Tom’s downfall as Belle’s baby bombshell sounds alarm bells

Emmerdale fans reckon they’ve cracked the case on Tom King’s imminent downfall after a tense scene left them biting their nails.
The ITV soap is currently tackling a coercive control storyline with the TV hunk and his onscreen wife Belle Dingle. Viewers have seen the newlywed slowly isolating and manipulating his missus over the past few months.
With his cruel behaviour only set to get worst, Tom is now keeping tabs on her every move by placing her under surveillance. It’s since been revealed that his character will soon take a violent turn in a gut-wrenching development.
As new spoilers tease some “terrifying” scenes set to hit the Dales next week at an explosive dinner party, where viewers will get a glimpse at the nightmare Belle is living with behind closed doors. Recently, Tom has been pressuring his wife to start a family with him, but it’s fair to say that’s the last thing the blonde beauty wants.
The star has made it clear that she wants to focus on her career at the moment and is concerned that having children could impact her mental health. On Thursday night (May 2), Belle was worried that she could be pregnant as she Googled whether you can get pregnant on the pill.
Come Friday (May 3), she was seen taking a pregnancy test with Tom breathing down her neck. Thankfully, the test was negative which was a huge relief to Belle but left her husband increasingly disappointed.
To no-one’s surprise, Tom immediately took his anger out on Belle, gaslighting her as he stormed out the house to catch up with his university friends. After Tom’s outburst, Belle went for a stroll with Mandy Dingle where she opened up about her and Tom wanting to be parents, before admitting that she wasn’t ready.
The episode ended with Tom forcing Belle, who reluctantly agreed, to throw her contraceptive pill in the bin. He chuckled: “Well, you won’t be needing the pill anymore!”
However, when Tom stepped out to the shop, Belle quickly fished the tablets out of the bin and hid them in her bedside table. With viewers glued to their screens, they took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to voice their concerns online.
Many urged Belle to confide in Mandy about Tom’s aggression and share her fears over what could happen if Tom discovers Belle’s secret stash of pills. One user penned: “#Emmerdale Please tell Mandy, Belle!!!!!”, as another agreed: “#Emmerdale if only U knew Mandy, if only Belle would be honest…”
Some are even hoping Mandy will be Belle’s saviour, while many are scared stiff that Tom will uncover Belle’s pill-taking. One user warned: “I hope Tom doesn’t find out Belle is still taking the pill” as another pointed out: “Tom is putting pressure on Belle.
