Emmerdale confirms major Nate news in ITVX release – and it changes everything for the ‘suspects’
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
DC Cole was back at Butlers Farm in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, searching for an important item following a discovery in Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) m.u.r.d.e.r case.
Yesterday, Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) discovered that Nate had been m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d last year and had his body thrown in the lake. They were utterly distraught, and couldn’t work out who would want to hurt ‘gentle giant’ Nate.
After Cain was questioned by the police, he arrived back home and found his family in the pub. He attempted to support Tracy, but she couldn’t help grow suspicious of him.
Tracy told Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) that Cain’s sympathetic act might just be because he wants to cover up the truth. Noting Cain brutally attacking Nate before he d.i.e.d, Tracy decided that he m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d her partner.
In tonight’s episode, as the police continued their investigation, Tracy had the heart-breaking job of telling Frankie that her dad wouldn’t ever be coming home. As the likes of Vanessa and Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) supported her, Aaron (Danny Miller) had made his way to Butlers to see Cain.
As he entered, Aaron found Cain and Liam (Jonny McPherson) and then revealed that the police were following on behind him.
Along with Moira (Natalie J Robb), Cain, Liam and Aaron watched DC Cole and his team turn the place upside down. They revealed they were looking for Nate’s phone but obviously, with Cain innocent, it wasn’t going to be there.
Cole explained that whenever Nate’s phone has been turned on in the past, it’s happened within half a mile of the village. It means the k.i.l.l.e.r lives in Emmerdale but with Cain suspect number one at the moment, Cole thought he could’ve hidden it.
Once Tracy discovered this development, she marched over to Butlers to confront Cain. As far as she is concerned, Cain m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d Nate and the information about his phone only fuels her theory.
But with the police unable to prove that Cain k.i.l.l.e.d his son, how long will it be until the finger is pointed at someone else?
