ITV Emmerdale villain ‘to return from the d.e.a.d’ and it’s bad news for Ruby
Emmerdale's Ruby Milligan believed she k.i.l.l.e.d her father, Anthony, but is he really d.e.a.d?
Emmerdale fans seem to think a return could be on the cards for one character, Ruby Milligan (played by Beth Cordingly), who is believed to be d.e.a.d.
In previous scenes, Ruby believed she had k.i.l.l.e.d her own father, Anthony, after suffering years of abuse as a child.
With assistance from Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), and husband Caleb (William Ash), the m.u.r.d.e.r was covered up, with John supposedly disposing of Anthony’s body.
However, apart from John, no one else knows where Anthony’s body is, or if he is even really d.e.a.d.
In emotional scenes that aired last week, a body was pulled from the lake, and Ruby immediately thought it was her father and that she would go to prison.
In a flashback scene, John gave Nate a lethal injection into his neck, and despite thinking he could save him, he d.i.e.d and told everyone he had gone to Shetland for work.
John later dumped Nate’s body in the lake, and up until now, he believed his secret was safe. At the moment, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is the police’s only suspect, but will John’s crimes finally catch up with him?
Fans have also been sharing their theories online, and many seem to think that Anthony is still alive.
One fan shared on a Facebook fan page: “What is everyone’s theory on Anthony? I think he’s very much alive. Probably imprisoned by John somewhere or in hospital elsewhere with no memory.”
“He’s in Spain, isn’t he?” someone asked while another wrote: “That was faked by Joe.”
“I think John saved him, perhaps he’ll pop up,” another said.
A fifth fan suggested: “I think he’s still alive. John made everyone leave when he said he was d.e.a.d. Now, he won’t say where he disposed of the body? Why? Because there was no body.”
“I said for a while that I think he is still alive,” one added as another commented: “Does he come back? I hope not.”
Emmerdale is available to watch on ITVX.
