Emmerdale Nate Robinson’s m.u.r.d.e.r.e.r ‘revealed’ as fans ‘work out’ John Sugden’s innocence
Emmerdale fans are convinced that John Sugden might not be guilty of Nate Robinson's m.u.r.d.e.r
Emmerdale fans are now speculating that John Sugden may not be responsible for Nate Robinson’s m.u.r.d.e.r.
Last week, a body was retrieved from the lake, with police later confirming that it belonged to Nate (Jurell Carter).
Viewers of the soap will recall that villain John (Oliver Farnworth) was seen with Nate shortly after the barn fire last year.
A flashback scene revealed John administering an unknown substance to Nate with the intention of “saving” him, but unfortunately, Nate had a fatal reaction to the medication.
John then disposed of Nate’s body by driving it to the bridge and pushing the concealed corpse into the lake, which was also the site of the infamous limo crash, reports Belfast Live.

Currently, Nate’s father, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), and wife, Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh), are under suspicion.
The police have Cain in their sights following a heated argument between him and his son on Nate’s final day in the village, while some residents have begun to suspect Tracy due to her increasingly erratic behaviour.
In Monday’s (June 9) episode, DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) questioned John about the day of the barn fire after Tracy revealed that he had been the last person to see Nate.
However, John lied to the detective, claiming he didn’t recall telling Tracy that Nate had gone to Shetland before the fire.
“I’m really sorry but I don’t remember that. Think I saw Tracy that night but I can’t remember when exactly. I was a bit distracted with all the fire stuff. I think Nate had left by that point, but it’s been ages,” he said.

John then detailed how Cain was consumed with worry for his wife, Moira (Natalie J Robb), who was trapped in the barn on the day in question. He also confirmed that Cain immediately rushed to the hospital with an injured Moira, and remained by her side.
Later, John turned up at the garage to reassure Cain that he wouldn’t go down for Nate’s m.u.r.d.e.r.
“You will get through this and you will be here for your boys. You’re going nowhere,” he declared.
John then remarked: “I’m sure you’ll be off the radar soon enough,” just before the credits began to roll.
Yet, some Emmerdale fans are now speculating that John might just be a red herring, suggesting another villager could actually be behind Nate’s d.e.a.t.h.
Several Emmerdale fans believe that John might be innocent
“Unless I’m mistaken or missed something, everyone is blaming John but if memory serves me, we only saw John try to save Nate and fail. We’ve never seen or heard of him actually k.i.l.l.i.n.g anyone,” one person speculated on a Facebook fan page.
“And with his antics with the other villagers by putting them in danger, we are just assuming he hurt Nate in the first place. All I’m saying is maybe John didn’t k.i.l.l Nate.”
Another chimed in: “Nate was probably dying from Cain’s punches and John was actually trying to save him.”
A third questioned: “If this is true, then why is he acting so guilty?” while another suggested: “That’s the twist. John thinks he k.i.l.l.e.d Nate with what he did but maybe, just maybe he didn’t.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
