Emmerdale icon ‘to return’ after 9 years as Kammy’s criminal sidekick ‘revealed’
Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Kammy Hadiq is working with a former Dales icon as he grows closer to Vinny Dingle and continues to commit crimes
Emmerdale fans reckon they’ve figured out who Kammy Hadiq is in cahoots with, and it’s a former soap legend.
Kammy (played by Shebz Miah) made his first appearance in March and quickly stirred up drama in the village. Upon arrival, he caught the attention of Sarah Sugden (portrayed by Katie Hill).
She secured him a job at Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) garage but soon found herself entangled in a love triangle with Kammy and her ex, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).
As fans will recall, Jacob ended his relationship with Sarah earlier this year following the tragic d.e.a.t.h of his mum Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) in a limo crash.
Moreover, it’s been revealed that Kammy has a knack for petty crime, and in recent episodes, he has grown close to Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), reports Belfast Live.
This week, Vinny took Kammy to Home Farm to arrange a surprise for Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham). Seizing the opportunity, Kammy swiped a phone to make a quick quid.
He was later seen on the phone with an unknown person, discussing the stolen phone as he tried to sell it.
Now, fans believe they’ve ‘cracked’ that Kammy is collaborating with someone as he continues his criminal activities – and viewers suspect it’s a former Dales favourite.
Voicing their theories online, fans speculate it could be Nikhil Sharma (Rik Makarem).
Nikhil arrived in the village back in 2009, alongside brother Jai (Chris Bisson). He quickly became a beloved character on the soap, involved in several major storylines – from surprising affairs to the d.e.a.t.h of his wife Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams).
Nikhil originally waved goodbye to the village in 2013 following the tragic loss of Gennie, but made a comeback in 2015 when his brother Jai found himself in a spot of bother. He then bid farewell once more in 2016.
Yet, in an unexpected turn that has fans buzzing, there’s speculation he might make a return as part of a plot twist involving Kammy.
On an Emmerdale fan page on Facebook, a viewer expressed their disappointment: “Disappointed that they’ve made Kammy into yet another villain. I thought he could have been a good bloke.”
Another fan speculated: “I think there’s more to come with his storyline. Maybe he’s working with someone?” A third person then hinted at a possible collaboration: “Yes I think he’s in cahoots with someone, could be Nikhil remember him?”.
Supporting this theory, another enthusiast commented: “Oh yes I do! I wonder if he could be coming back.” And a fifth concurred: “I thought the same.”
