Emmerdale fans ‘figure out’ Charity’s health woes as they spot worrying clue

Fans of the hit ITV soap have seemed to work out what Charity Dingle will be suffering from in a harrowing new plotline after she killed Damon Harris in tense scenes last Christmas

Fans of Emmerdale are convinced they have “worked out” Charity Dingle’s future as she continues to battle her inner demons.

Charity, who is played by Emma Atkins on the ITV soap, has been struggling to keep her newest dark secret under wraps. Viewers watched on in horror last Christmas when Charity killed Damon Harris – known as Harry, played by Robert Beck, in tense scenes.

Since committing her murder, Charity has been battling to make sure her secret does not come out. As a result of her internal struggles, the usually bubbly and sultry character has withdrawn from her usual self and is now starting to hit out at her loved ones as paranoia begins to take hold.

Things got worse for the former bar owner during Thursday night’s episode (February 1), when Charity was triggered by a drum her son Moses had been banging repeatedly. After initially putting up with it, she reached the end of her tether – screaming at him to stop, sending him running away in tears with other villagers setting up a search party to look for him.

In other emotional scenes later on in the episode, Charity was spotted deep cleaning some plates in her home. She had started taking on the strange habit after she had shot Harry last year. But viewers became more and more concerned for Charity when she began to double check all her doors and windows were locked before she went to bed. After the episode, fans of the show flooded social media with messages of concern for Charity, as many think that she is about to be diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). One concerned fan penned: “Still no one stepping in realising charity needs help! Mackenzie’s selfishness focuses as usual.”

A second user simply asked: “Has Charity developed OCD?” Whilst a third account added: “I’m thinking Charity will be diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder.”

Other fans shared their concern for Charity’s mental health, with some suggesting she go for to therapy to help her with her health woes. It comes after Charity had a less than festive Christmas period after she shot Harry in order to save her beau Mackenzie Boyd, played by Lawrence Rob.

He was kidnapped by Harry, who was beaten to a pulp before having a gun pulled on him. Seeing red and trying to defend her partner, Charity found Harry’s abuse of Mack and charged at him, causing a struggle and eventually shooting Damon dead.
