Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) spent the entire day grovelling to Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) and Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) in Emmerdale.
Yesterday, Gabby and Vinny hung out at The Hide. They had a great time but outside, the dynamic suddenly changed when Vinny tried to kiss Gabby.
It was embarrassing for him when he realised he got things wrong and that Gabby didn’t feel the same. She told him not to worry about it, but then let slip Paddy and Mandy were behind the situation.
Vinny was mortified. He confronted Paddy about his plan and said he felt humiliated that Gabby was only spending time with him because people feel sorry for him, and that he was feeling lonely.
In tonight’s (May 17) episode of the ITV soap, Mandy made her way downstairs and realised Vinny was nowhere to be found.
Convinced he had spent the night with Gabby, Mandy’s facial expression changed when Paddy entered and revealed Vinny had discovered their plan.
Over at Aaron’s (Danny Miller), Mandy and Paddy arrived to see Vinny. Their attempt at saying sorry didn’t work because Aaron was present and on ‘Team Vinny’, and so they left.
In the pub, Mandy turned her attention to Gabby.
She was ready to move on from the situation after Paddy approached her, and told Mandy speaking to Vinny on her behalf probably wasn’t the best idea.
While Gabby wasn’t prepared to help Mandy and Paddy anymore, she still wanted to clear the air with her friend.
As they sat down, Vinny and Gabby quickly established they wanted to remain mates and smiled, pleased everything had been sorted out.
However, as they chatted, Vinny and Gabby failed to spot Mandy smirking and watching them talk.
She clearly believes there’s something between them, but is this unlikely romance happening after all?
