It should’ve been the happiest day of her life – but Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) has found herself feeling devastated after more emotional abuse from husband Tom King (James Chase) on her wedding day.

Viewers of the ITV soap have feared the worst for poor Belle in recent months as she’s consistently put on a brave face and ignored the manipulative behaviour her then-fiancé dealt her.

In upsetting scenes, the soap legend quickly forgive Tom when he violently pushed her away, causing her to hit her head on the coffee table when she declined his proposal.

Feeling guilty, she later roped iceskating legends (and Tom’s heroes) Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean into planning the perfect proposal for him.

In the last week we’ve seen her suffer more setbacks when Tom refused to allow her to keep the Dingle moniker, and branded her first choice of wedding dress as ‘cheap’.

As their wedding day finally rolled around tonight (February 15th), fans of the show were left wondering whether she would actually walk down the aisle.

The wedding was an absolute disaster – with Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) guffawing at Belle’s legal name, Tinkerbelle, during their vows and then exposing husband Caleb’s (William Ash) affair with Tracey Robinson (Amy Walsh) at the reception.
