Emmerdale lining up ‘life-changing’ twist for one family as sad exit ‘sealed’
Emmerdale spoilers for next week have confirmed one character and their family faces turmoil in a 'life-changing' twist on the ITV soap, and it could lead to an exit
Emmerdale spoilers reveal more than one life might be changed forever next week on the ITV soap, due to a dramatic incident.
A shock stabbing will spark ripples through the village, as more than one family face horror. In a flash, at least two lives will no doubt change in an instant, while one village resident may lose their life.
But it isn’t just the life of the victim that will be altered, but the person holding the knife. After being threatened and taunted by newcomer Josh, Matty Barton finds himself accidentally stabbing Samson Dingle.
As Samson bleeds out after the attack, Matty’s horrified as Josh turns the tables and tries to change the narrative to one where Matty has deliberately attacked Samson. The incident could be life-changing for Matty, who fears for his future as he looks guilty when they all know full well it’s an accident – but could he end up leaving the show in a prison twist?
It all kicks off when Josh arrives and Samson reveals their plan to travel Europe, amid Samson leaving the ITV soap at some point. Josh keeps flirting with Matty’s wife Amy Wyatt, who finds it all a bit uncomfortable and ends up leaving work early.

Josh continues to irritate Amy and Matty, and when he realises Matty is trans he steps up his nasty behaviour. Josh dead-names Matty to Samson, before being set on taking revenge on Matty as he’s kicked out of the HOP.
It’s then that all hell breaks loose, and things get heated. Josh then shoves Samson into Matty while he’s holding a knife, and the blade impales and injures Samson leaving him in danger.
Whether Samson survives the incident remains to be seen, but Matty will no doubt face questioning. Could the twist result in the family being divided given their shared Dingle link, and will Matty be believed when he explains what happened?
Matty is the stepson of Cain Dingle, Samson’s uncle, so Cain’s loyalty will no doubt be tested. But if Matty is set up successfully, might it lead to a sad exit from the village if he goes to prison?
