Rose Jackson’s sinister plan revealed
Soap watchers were left stunned earlier this year when Rose made her debut, where it was revealed that she is the estranged ex-wife of Will Taylor and mother of Dawn Taylor. Rose revealed she and Will had been married, with it clear she’d walked out on them when Dawn was a baby, if not a toddler.
Since then, it’s been revealed that Rose, who isn’t a fan of Will’s new wife Kim Tate and has been at loggerheads with the Home Farm matriarch, has a connection with another villager Ruby Fox-Milligan and next week the two carry out a sinister plan. In upcoming scenes, Rose is left panicked when Ruby puts pressure on her to carry out their secret plan.
However, the duo are almost caught out by a confused Will and Rose quickly covers, where she moves in for a kiss and leaves Will stunned over the shock move. Will quickly pulls away but Rose is left unsure if he will tell Kim. However, later, Rose is upset to see Will tell Kim that it’s time for her to leave their home.

In retaliation, Rose deliberately causes mayhem by setting a horse loose at Home Farm. However, more mystery is teased when she receives a cryptic message and she heads to the outskirts of the village, where she meets a dealer who hands over a vial of tranquilliser telling her to await further instructions.
Despite secretly plotting a sinister plan to spike Will’s drink in order to entrap him, Rose is left conflicted about following through with her evil idea when she learns grandson, Evan, has been discharged from hospital while estranged daughter, Dawn, refers to her as ‘mum’ for the first time.
However, despite having second thoughts, it appears Rose goes through with the plan later on. Spoilers reveal that just as Will’s about to sip the spiked drink, Dawn and Kim return home with two more drinks poured. As Rose loses track of which drink is spiked, she is left panicked as her sinister plan goes badly wrong… who will sip the spiked drink and will Rose be caught?
Emmerdale exit storyline ‘revealed’ after 18 years
Emmerdale could be saying goodbye to one character in the village after 18 years next week. In spoilers for next week, Samson Dingle’s downfall appears to be revealed, which could see an exit for the character amid reports that actor Sam Hall, who has played the role since 2009, is leaving the ITV soap. Viewers will recall that Samson was stabbed in huge scenes last month with Matty Barton to blame for what has happened after the knife he was holding ended up in Samson’s stomach.
In the shocking scenes, Samson’s new friend Josh confronted Matty after he poured their paid for beers down the drain. He was furious over Josh constantly flirting with Amy, despite knowing that Matty and Amy were recently married. Things escalated when vile Josh started referencing Matty being transgender and in a furious confrontation, Matty warned them to leave – but Josh wasn’t having it. He pushed Samson forward, and onto the knife that Matty was holding. In horrifying scenes, Samson was whisked away in an ambulance – whilst Matty found himself arrested and he’s since been struggling in prison.

There is no CCTV footage to back up Matty’s claims while Josh threatened Samson to stick to his side of the story in order to keep themselves out of trouble with the youngster lying to the police. In spoilers for next week, it appears that Lydia and Sam Dingle learn the truth about what has happened. Sam is wanting son Samson to escape justice while Lydia is unhappy Samson is wanting to evade the law.
It’s not long until Lydia implores Samson to head to the police station where he ultimately confesses to the truth of the ‘stabbing’, leaving Sam furious at Lydia and she soon faces the rest of the Dingle family. Moira is hopeful as it means her son Matty could be released from prison but she soon faces Sam’s anger as the rift between the latter and Cain Dingle gets worse, resulting in Sam punching his brother to the floor.
Later in the week, Matty is optimistic when he’s told about Samson’s confession but is soon paralysed with fear as he’s escorted back to his prison cell to find transphobic Robbo waiting for him, goading him with violent threats as it’s revealed his time in prison isn’t over just yet. Elsewhere, over at the Dingles, things get tense when Cain heads over to ensure Samson doesn’t run away again and things again get heated between the brothers with Samson nervous to be left alone with Cain. Will Samson flee the village or will he too face prison for perverting the course of justice?
